We support the world's food systems by farming insects
to feed animals.

Current animal feed sources such as soy and fishmeal are simply unsustainable in the long run.

We need more efficient methods of farming animals.

Traditional sources of protein such as soybean and fishmeal are causing significant environmental problems including overfishing, deforestation and biodiversity loss. Wild fish stocks have been dwindling globally and there is only so much land that we can clear to grow soya beans.

 

At this rate, there is simply no way we can achieve our UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and meet our targeted population growth by 2050. Insect protein is part of a new wave of alternative proteins to feed livestock and our population more efficiently, effectively, and sustainably.

With supply for current feed sources limited, coupled with 3B more mouths to feed by 2050, there is a need to change how we farm our food.

By 2050, we would have 3B more mouths to feed. With an increased demand for farmed animals, traditional feed prices have been increasing while supply sources have grown highly volatile and unpredictable due to climate change.

 

We provide farmers a reliable, traceable and cost-effective alternative for animal feed.

Food waste is a major environmental problem and one of the world's greatest paradoxes.  We exist to make our food supply chain more resilient and sustaniable.

Each year, over 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted globally. If food waste were its own country, it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases after the US and China, contributing to 7.7% of global GHG emissions. Yet, more than 840 million people still go hungry each day.

 

We reduce food waste by feeding it to our insects, converting it to protein for agriculture and aquaculture. We replicate our process to places where is it needed.
